Grooveline - North East Function Band

Darrin is the youngest member of Grooveline, although his ability as a bassist is far beyond his years and since joining the band, his input into the musical arrangements has played an extensive part in shaping the Grooveline sound.

Even at such a young age, Darrin is already a highly respected and sought after bassist and is often asked to work as a session musician for a number of bands and shows throughout the North East.

His ability to adapt his style to the varying mood of each and every show is impressive and on stage, he possesses a natural charisma that often catches the eye of the ladies in the audience!!

He is currently studying for an Honours Degree in Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music at The Performance Academy, Newcastle College.

Grooveline is a Newcastle based band therefore they mainly work throughout Newcastle, Northumberland, Sunderland, Tyneside and Durham, however they are able to travel to anywhere in the UK and further if needed. The band have played many high profile wedding and function venues which include The Newcastle and Gateshead Hilton; St James Park, Newcastle; Linden Hall, Morpeth; Ellingham Hall, Northumberland; Headlam Hall, County Durham; The Federation Brewry, Dunston; The Grand Hotel, Blackpool and many more.
